This is the first ramen bar I have ever been to. I wasn't sure what to expect as the only ramen I've had before was bagged or cupped, granted, those are also tasty versions of the Japanese dish; but far less than authentic.
I ordered the Tantan Men and my friend ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. (Pictures included) We also got the edamame for an appetizer. Of course, edamame was delicious. Always is, those things are little podded seeds of love.
Adam was not a big fan of his Tonkotsu, though I thought it was delicious. It was salty, but I prefer my meals do be so. For him, however, the flavors didn't mix well together as the garlic oil seemed to over power the rest of the dish.
I ordered thin noodles in mine and was very pleased! It was both spicy and sweet with a plethora of flavors dancing around on my palette! I also added egg and it really made the dish pop. (Adam has since gone back and ordered my dish because he loved it so much.)
Thank you Fukumimi staff, you were very pleasant and accommodating. My drink never emptied and the atmosphere was positive.
Cheers!
