  • Stayed at the Golden Nugget one night and was very disappointed. Paid about $100 for the room, go the Carsten Tower, the old tower. The room was smelly, old, bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was old, small, tub did not drain properly. Overall service was poor. Front desk staff were unfriendly. The hotel operators were also abrupt and unfriendly. Asked the valet to bring my car around so that I did not have to wait in line. That did not work. Played about 6 hours of Poker, the beverage service was really bad. Only one server was on top of her game the other 3 were useless. The ONLY thing the place has going for it is pool area and aquariums. Stay at you own risk! This is no 4 star hotel.
