| - "Disappointed" sums up the overall experience at Bartolotta, especially given the overall hype. The location was beautiful and the service was also phenomenal, but the food overall was not up to par. We tried the "Top Chef" tasting menu, which our waiter boasted as being the "best in the world." Unfortunately the flavors did not back up his braggadocio. The seafood was extremely fresh, all the way from the langoustines to the scallops, the lobster, branzino (Mediterranean sea bass), and was cooked just right. However, the dishes were surprisingly bland in terms of flavor, especially for an ultra-high-end Italian restaurant. We had dinner at Twist the night before, and I have to say that Twist's tasting menu was substantially better overall. We really wanted to enjoy this place as we love Italian food, and whereas the food was still good overall, it was not up to the level that we expected given the hype and presentation.
