Yes it is the view that sells the place. I agree go Monday through Thursday, and go early enough so that you can appreciate the sun going down and see the Toronto skyline change dramatically. All the photographers can get on your nerves a little, but the love-seats for two are kind of cool, if you do not mind making out in a "fish-bowl"
Certainly "The Terrace" on top of the Park Hyatt is a lot more sophisticated, and their "bar" menu is adequate if just looking for a light snack/meal with your cocktail.
