| - Store Review:
I have lived in champaign for 2+ years and continued to drive up north to Motorwerks in Barrington for my car service due to the previous reviews I read here, however I finally decided to jump in for a service appointment x2 after the trim broke off of my car. This review is based only on the service department of BMW. 2 years into my ownership of a new BMW, the clips on the trim broke off the back door. I was able to bring my car in within 1 hour to look and they would order parts to fix by the following day. The service rep was friendly and approachable. Service is fast and appears to be well done. The waiting room is stocked with keurig coffee, water, and granola bars which is a great way to past the time. My second visit was only a few weeks later when I noticed that my stock OEM tires needed to be replaced before the winter. It didn't take long for them to order the tires up and have them replaced. For my second visit, I had to use the shuttle service to get to work. In the morning it does get busy and you may need to wait a few stops before you get to your final destination. The pick up is simple, all you have to do is call the shuttle number at 2173691417 or 2175305699 depending on which shuttle driver is available. I wanted to ensure that my rims didn't get destroyed when they replaced the tires. I somehow bumped into the GM of the dealership and he assured me that they would be returned in the same condition. He even went to the back to check up on the car after I told him these concerns. This is great service! With a simple text message he assured me that the there would be no problems. Overall friendly service, quick, and they appear to do a good job. I haven't noticed any crazy issues like I had at motorwerks with my rims being cut up with them replacing my tires, the front steering column ripped apart when they fixed a defective lock, or even random broken plastic pieces when I got my shocks replaced. They do some things different such as over inflate your tires to get better mileage which is the first time I have heard of this and I am still trying to figure out why the DOT codes on my tires don't have the date stamp. I will be switching over and continually updating on yelp because being a BMW owner means wanting the best for your car no matter how far you have to drive.
Pros- fast service, easy to get in, early drop off time starting at 7, competitive prices with other dealership, the general manager appears to be vested in the service provided
Cons- Not sure why I don't have a date stamp with my DOT codes on my tires, limited availability for loaners if you don't buy your car from them which is understandable
Hidden deals- They have a printed price guide which I have included in my pictures. The free pickup and delivery is great when you have to get to work
