I went to Barnsteiner's, the new contemporary/eclectic restaurant that opened where John & Sons used to be. First of all they have done a great job renovating and the new interior is much warmer and more refined. It was a Wednesday night and it was VERY busy so come early or make a reservation. Like John & Sons they serve oysters. We ordered a dozen large from the East Coast and they were excellent. It took a while I guess because they were very busy. We also had the rosemary flatbread and the tuna tartar main both of which were also very good. They have a reasonable selection of beers on tap as well. I have to say the service was a bit slow probably because it is still very new and they were very busy.
