Like so many others, I have mixed feelings about this place. I'm torn between two stars and three stars. Most things were fine, but there where multiple little issues that were irritating.
Location was fine. Room was fine. Hotel is dog friendly. All staff polite. Some were helpful.
The bartender was really, really clumsy on our first visit. Forgot to put in my food order, so my friends all received their food and no plate for me. I had to ask what happened to mine. Oops. I still tipped appropriately, and he remembered us the next night and did his best to make it up to us. We are appreciative of that.
We were also paying for a friend's room. We called and confirmed with the hotel that it would be okay for her to check in (sans credit card) a few hours before us. We were assured it was fine. Then she showed up and they wouldn't let her check in without providing a credit card. She provided a card, which they then slapped with a large hold. We switched cards when we arrived later, but she's still got to wait for the hold to expire. I realize how hotels work; as I travel often. I'm just disappointed that we were assured that a certain process would be fine and then suddenly it's not fine.
