| - I am very impressed with ToyoMotors, and would not hesitate to recommend them to fellow hybrid owners. I recently had the hybrid battery in one of my Toyota Prius' give out. I totally should have been prepared for this given the car is a 2007 with over 200k miles on it. But of course, it happens when you least expect it, and in my case, without warning because I didn't pay attention to the early indicator signs! After having a plethora of dashboard lights go off, I took it in to the dealership to get it checked out. I was told I needed a new hybrid battery, and it would be $3,400.00. Talk about a punch to the gut. I started researching to find a cheaper alternative, or a shop that could replace it at a better price. This is how I learned about hybrid battery reconditioning. The dealerships don't offer this service (and won't even tell you about it), and while there are a couple other shops around town that do this, ToyoMotors was the only place that would tell me how much it would cost to evaluate whether my hybrid battery was a candidate for reconditioning, and what I should budget for worst case scenario. They were upfront about how long the work would take, went in depth about the reconditioning process, and explained the warranty I would receive. The Hybrid Shop would not divulge any information on pricing, or about the reconditioning process until they checked out my battery. I just had a bad feeling, and my gut told me to trust ToyoMotors.
As promised, I had my car back in three days, running like it was new. The service came with a 1-year warranty, but I paid a little extra (totally worth it) to extend that to 2-years. I also had them put in new spark plugs, and in total, my bill was 52% less than what the dealership was going to charge me for just a new battery with a fraction of the warranty!!! To top it off, their customer service was amazing. When I had brought in my car, it was super dirty with bird doo doo everywhere because it had been sitting uncovered for a week since it was not driveable. When I came to pick it up, it was sparkling clean, and they surprised me by treating my headlight lenses so that they looked new and clear when they were cloudy and yellow from the sun damage. I am beyond happy with the service I received and will be bringing both our Toyota Prius' to them for future service needs. If you find yourself in need of hybrid battery reconditioning, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. Save yourself the time, effort and stress of calling around.
