  • I stayed at the Las Vegas Holiday Inn Desert Club with my family in July 2016, and we all enjoyed the property. The property is located one major street east of the Linq resort and the High Roller attraction. It's a short 10 minute walk from the resort to get to Las Vegas Blvd, and the Strip. You can see the High Roller from many different areas on the property and some numerous rooms. The property is massive, it reminded me of a large apartment complex. It consists of 21, three story buildings. None of the buildings have elevators, so if walking up stairs is an issue, you may want to request a first floor room. On the property is a restaurant, a mini-grocery store with many food items and essentials you may need for your vacation. There are 5 small pools, one has a half way working water fall. There are two nice size gyms with several cardio machines and some dumbells. There is also a pay-to-play arcade, and a youth activity center. There is a small shuffle board area, and a small putt putt golf area. Although I like all the amenities, none of them really had that "WOW" factor, they were all just adequate. They also provide free shuttles to different areas on the Strip. They have free parking and you can park directly in front of your building, most of covered parking to protect your car from the very hot Las Vegas sun. All of the staff we came into contact with your very friendly and professional, except for one young lady in the mini-market who seem upset that everyone was on vacation except for her!?!? The room was a 2 bedroom suite, which was very large and spacious, and recently renovated. It was very nice. The room had a full kitchen with full-size refrigerator, oven, sink, cooking and eating utensils. A dining room, and laundry room with a washer and dryer. The living room had a large flat screen HD television. There was a working fireplace. The outside patio had a nice view of the High Roller. The living room also had a sofa sleeper couch. There was a stereo, and the free WIFI had a very strong signal in the room. The master bedroom was also very large with a flat screen HD television and a very large walk in closet with a room safe, and iron/board. The master bathroom was very large with the toilet in a separate room. The bathtub/shower was extremely large and comfy. The guest room near the front door and medium size, with a flat screen HD television, and a walk in closet with plenty of space. The adjacent bathroom was small with a shower only. The entire suite was very clean and well maintained. All of the televisions had lots of cable channels, free HBO, but no PPV. Both of the beds and pillows were very comfortable. There is no daily maid service, but if you need something, call and they will take care of it. The is a great resort, especially for long vacations. You'll be able to save some money on food by preparing some of your own meals. It's short walk to the main tourist area. I really liked this resort and would recommend this resort to all of my family and friends.
