After discovering some weird bumps on my back, and addressing the fact that I was a compulsive hypochondriac, I decided I better get them checked out. However, I don't have a family doctor in Toronto so my only other option was to head to a walk in clinic.
This was literally the first one I found on 411. It's on the corner of Bloor and Bathurst in a nice, clean building. I showed up and waited about 45 for a doctor to see me. There were quite a few people their waiting to be seen, and it seemed like it wasn't always first come, first served but depended on your condition.
Anyway I went in to see the doctor. She was relatively kind but seemed eager to get me in and out. I explained my symptoms (which at the time I had self-diagnosed as bed bugs) she said she wasn't sure what they were but she would prescribe me some topical cream. I asked her more questions but she seemed hesitant to answer. The most annoying thing was I went to have the prescription filled and the cream cost $50, which I didn't find out until I had to pay for it.
Canada's healthcare system isn't in great shape and as a result clinics tend to be understaffed and overwhelmed with patients. This place wasn't great, but if you're looking for a place in a hurry, it's not that bad either.
