So I'm giving this store 4 stars only bc of the owners otherwise it would be 5 stars. have been coming here for years. Back when it was part of the building next door. I always find pretty decent books here for cheap. I have even donated a couple of times for credit years ago. Today I went in to donate about 3 full bags of YA & adults books and the owner ( the older woman) really rubbed me the wrong way. I was just ready to drop books off and leave. I don't care if you take them for your shelves. You can donate the rest like another bookstore I frequent would do. She literally looked through like 1 bag, picked up one book and was like this is the only one I'll take. The she proceeded to say that she is familiar with the YA section since she stocks the shelves. I am here to tell her that as an English teacher your YA section is not fantastic. It could use a boost. I think what annoyed me was that she didn't even seem willing to go through and look at the books. I know that this is an isolated incident hence the 4 stars. However, the only owner I think is pleasant is the daughter. She always has a smile and is helpful. The other owners not so much. I have never seen them smile and they are only minimally welcoming. Btw, I took the books back. I will take them to the other bookstore that donates books. I am not telling you to not patronize this place. In fact, I think you should bc it's a great place. I just wanted to share my experience.
