| - So, I usually only go to sprouts to get sandwiches from the Deli. I live in Mesa, but I work here in Scottsdale, so I actually frequent this Sprouts for lunch... I am actually really disappointed to say that the Mesa Sprouts stores are infinitely better than this one, solely based on sandwich making.
The last two or three times I have come here, there is one guy that makes me uneasy. I hate to name drop, but Chase honestly needs to be doing something else in this store. He starts off by putting the bread straight on the counter, which is very dirty, by the way-- mustard and other various debris that SHOULD be cleaned off, without the paper underneath. Then, he puts the other items on, but if they fall off the bread (onto the dirty counter), he'll pick them up and just smoosh them back on with his fingers (gloved, thankfully). I asked for bacon on my sandwich, and he didn't even heat it up. I know this is trivial, but honestly, I was just taken back since every other Sprouts heats the bacon up. After the sandwich was done, he then wrapped it in the most careless manner and handed it off.
I have come to this Sprouts and had other people make my sandwich, but Chase is the only one who does it like this and makes me this uncomfortable. I would give this Sprouts one star based on these experiences and the fact that clearly no other employees have said anything to him about it, but the checkout staff is super nice, and I really do love Sprouts. It's just really discouraging and makes me not want to come back here.
