I frequent Six Penn Kitchen often and everything I have ordered was wonderful.
Most recently I was in for Date night with my husband. We had a nice Two seat table in the second floor by the bar. In was nice and intimate, great view out onto 6th street plus right next to the bartenders!!!
Service was 5 stars and they were quite busy. We went around 6 pm on a Wednesday evening and the bar area around us was full. The bartenders who were serving us were on top of everything!
We ordered the calamari as our app. It was great the aioli is very good. We also had the French onion soup that was really good.
I ordered the Shrimp étouffée and it is different than any other étouffée I have ever had before. It was AWESOME!!! 6 big Shrimp and "popcorn" grits all I can say is YUM!!!
My husband ordered the Steak which he was very happy with. I did not try it because he orders his steaks rare. But, he was happy and we cleaned our plates!
We also ordered dessert. I had the Apple Pie which was really good and the crust reminds me of my grandmothers pie crust. Nice and buttery! My husband had the German Chocolate Pudding. You think well it's pudding? But this pudding was no jello it was terrific, nice and rich with coconut and nuts mixed in and the whipped cream on top was very tasty.
It was another wonderful experience at Six Penn Kitchen. The food is always awesome and so is the service!
