| - Krieger's is an old-fashioned, locally-owned grocery store with a non-corporate atmosphere. You can't get everything you need here, some items are much cheaper at Marc's, just down the street if you can handle that place. The produce is usually much cheaper than Giant Eagle, and the deli is excellent and includes many choices (including the nitrate/nitrite-free applegate farms hams/turkey, etc.) He has a wide selection of apples, oranges, chiles, and organic produce, too. He also carries items from local businesses (breads, sauces, lasagna rolls from Deviti's in Akron, etc.) The folks who work here are super nice, even though I'm pretty sure they're not treated all that well by the owner. I try to thank them and be nice every so often so they know at least someone appreciates their hard work.
It is a tight place when busy, so I like to go before or after the rush (4-ish or after 7 on weekdays).
