First off as a English Bulldog owner I have seen my fair share of Vet's and Carolina Vet Specialist (CVS) saved my dogs life. I always find it funny how we are willing to wait 4 hours or more in a emergency room for humans but find it unacceptable to wait an hour for our pet.
We took our Bulldog to another vet hospital in Charlotte with a abdominal obstruction. When they told us after they did surgery they did not have the expertise or tools to complete the surgery they said our dog was most likely going to die. We asked who where else we could take our dog and they said CVS was the only ones with the expertise. We transported our dog to CVS (after the other hospital charged us for not completing a surgery) CVS staff was waiting with a gurney and took our dog into the the facility without delay. They preformed the second surgery and cared for our dog through a intense 10 day recovery due to the multiple surgeries.
The staff was outstanding and even thought they were very busy helping other pets we always observed them (over 10 days of being in the back room) being very caring to all the pets in their care and triaging the emergencies in order to make sure the proper attention was given for each situation. I can not thank the staff enough for their care and saving my dogs life who is now, 4 weeks later, back to his old self.
