My dad insisted he be buried at a Veteran's cemetery (he's a Vietnam War vet and served 20 years) and since Arlington was too far (yep, he asked for it) he happily agreed to listing Boulder City in his last wishes in his will. Unfortunately that day came 2 weeks ago and we had him buried at Veteran's Memorial. We did a two part service with Palm Mortuary on Eastern and then the actual burial in Boulder. The Palm folks coordinated with VMC and everything was so smooth, respectful and beautiful. The "kids" in the Air Force Honor Guard were simply awesome. So diligent and respectful in the flag process and the gun salute. My dad would have loved it.
