| - I go to Vegas on average about 4 times a year. I've stayed at most of the higher end Hotels like Encore, Wynn, TheHotel Mandalay, Signature MGM ect..
We were going as a group and found a great deal at TI. It was my first time staying here but the price was hard to beat.
I've read complaints of long waits when checking in, this was not at all the case for us. We arrived at 2:00pm on Friday, there were around 7 clerks and we were checked in under 15 mins.
We booked the standard room but I did the $20 trick (slip a $20 under your ID or between the credit card and ID and ask for something with a "nice view", I've always gotten upgrades this way) on the registration clerk and got upgraded to the top floor with a more spacious room and an awesome view. It also has a separate set of elevators for the higher floors and the top floor(36) requires your room key. So these elevators were never crowded and got us to the room fast every time.
The room was clean and very nice, although smaller than some of the higher end Hotels, it wasn't cramped. The top floor has vaulted ceilings too which is nice, and we had a great view of the pool and the strip. The bed was very comfortable and the and house keeping was very prompt and came at a reasonable time every day ( around 9:30am-10:00am).
The Hotel's location is very convenient, there's a walk way to the fashion show mall and a tram to the Mirage. The pool was very nice, they play music and have a DJ from 12-4pm I believe, and stays open till 8:00pm during the summer.
We ate at the Pho restaurant and it was pretty good, nothing better than pho when you're drunk and or hung over. The buffet was ok for the price, they had soul food which wasn't bad. The selection wasn't bad for brunch but not as extensive as some of the other Vegas buffets, the Wynn is probably the best buffet in Vegas IMO.
The Hotel Gym itself is pretty good for a Hotel Gym, treadmills, machines free weights, everything you need to get your last minute yolks on before hitting the strip.
We also checked out the Christian Adu-whatever club, the dress code didn't seem as strict as some others, it was ok, kind of small but you get front row seat at the pirate show, so that's kind of cool.
As mentioned there's a $20 resort fee per room, (it includes, access to the pool, gym, internet ect) a lot of the Hotels on the strip are doing this just be aware it's an extra required charge then what you have already paid, or was quoted on the total of your stay. Sure it's a hassle but if you're going to cry over $20 you probably shouldn't be in Vegas.
Overall for the value, location and amenities, it was well worth the price, I would definitively stay again.
