| - NSB may be local but I do not feel that they value their long-time loyal customers.
The past few years have been hard on most everyone in the valley. One would think that NSB and its' new President and staff would be attune to this. NSB thrived in Las Vegas and Nevada in general due to its' customers. If they do not have us, what do they have?
Many folks stay at NSB and have shied away from banking giants such as B of A, Chase and Wells Fargo because they think they will feel anonymous. I already feel anonymous at local NSB.
Bank tellers are changed often, Bank Managers are moved often and the general
tone and feeling of one's experience there is somber. It was not always the case.
In the past four years many things have changed at NSB and not for the better.
Just this year, NSB has started to charge customers $2.50 for a paper statement for each of their accounts ($30.00 a year per account). Don't tell me about saving trees and money. Is NSB planting a tree for every account that goes paperless? I doubt it. The only one saving money is NSB and making more money in the process by charging for this. So, let's get this straight, for the same banking fee every month, you actually get less - no paper statement without the fee. What NSB should do is to offer the client that goes paperless a deduction of $2.50 from the monthly fee. The savings should be ours but it is not.
Going online may be great for the twenty something crowd, but for many of us it is simply
ridiculous. Not all of us have the time to go online, create a password, go into our account, print the statement and log out every month. Shame on NSB.
This is just one example of how they are treating their customers in a recession.
I have others but what is the point. I have voiced my opinion at several branches and it has fallen on deaf ears. Time to move on or shall I say over to another bank. And yes, for the record, there are other banks in Las Vegas that do not charge a paper statement fee.
