| - Carpets & More is the most unprofessional company I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend doing some research before hiring them for your home. Some many issues occurred I need to list them out..
- Initial install date was Jan. 3rd and 4th. I went to the store to drop off my house key because I work during the week. In my order, it specifically states they are to call an hour before arrival and when they were leaving. When I arrive at the store to drop off my key (Friday before install date) Susan states that we have to push back install to the 9th and 10th. She DID NOT call me to inform me of this. She only remembered to tell when I was physically in front of her.
- On Jan. 5th, I receive a phone call from Susan stating they were dropping off the laminate for it to accumulate in the next day or so. I go to my home on the 5th after work and my carpet was installed. Carpets & More was in my home without my knowledge and installed my carpet 5 days prior to scheduled install date. HUGE issue. I was in the middle of painting the area where carpet was going to be installed and I DID NOT receive a phone call stating they were going to be in my home doing installation.
- Not only were they in my home without my knowledge, they left a huge mess. I paid for them to discard of carpet...they left rolls of carpet in my trash cans. I was painting my kitchen cabinet doors in my garage and the rolled out the carpet on top of them to cut. This left carpet fibers and dirt all over my freshly painted cabinet doors.
- Carpets & More offered to put down plastic the following day to rectify the issue because I needed to paint where the carpet was installed. The workers put down the thinnest plastic, taped on the walls (where I needed to paint), and all the edges of the carpet were exposed because they just quickly taped the plastic on the carpet. When anyone walked on the carpet, it just pulled even more which just made the plastic more of a hassle than a help. Due to this issue, I had to hire a professional painter to ensure I didn't get paint on the carpet.
- Install day is finally here for laminate.. the job was not completed. They didn't order any of the trim for transition pieces. On top of that, I asked them not to replace the old baseboards and they preceded to do so.
- They damaged my drywall, left dirt smudges all over my freshly painted walls, and left dings in my malls. They were completely content leaving it this way. I had to have ANOTHER day of them in my home repairing the damage. The worker was in my home from 9am-3pm to remove the old baseboards, fix the damaged walls, and actually complete the job.
Throughout all of this, communication was nonexistent. I had to facilitate every conversation with them to get all of this fixed. They would tell me they were going to return my calls and they never did. Every employee I spoke with had extreme attitude (Susan, Daniel, Sarah). Think twice about hiring this unprofessional company. They WILL NOT care for your home during installation. They are cheaper than other companies around town but you will get what you paid for.
