I've been to this joint probably four times... and the only thing holding it back from a five star rating is the price.
I get it - you're offering unlimited prime meats - but that doesn't mean you should charge $16 for a 10 ounce cocktail. Was it good? Yeah... but for that price it should be twice the freaking size. C'mon.
The salad bar is spectacular... offering an array of Brazilian appetizers. They bring fried bananas and pao de quiejo to the table as often as you'd like (tiny rolls baked with cheese in 'em that are just incredible.
The lunch offering, while not as plentiful as the dinner (in regards to the variety of meats they bring around) is half the price ($30'ish vs. $60'ish) and the only way to go in my opinion. My favorite (even when I lived in Brazil) is the picanha - perfectly seasoned and medium rare, the way meat should be eaten.
Yesterday the pork and chicken wrapped in bacon weren't as tender or juicy as they've been in the past, but all the beef offerings were out of this world good.
The rice / bans / farofa remind me of the time I spent in Brazil and you must get a can of guarana for nostaligia's sake (their most popular soda - kind of tastes like cherry ginger ale).
The service is always solid and a few of the meat servers were actually from Brazil so I also got to practice my Portuguese too.
I'll be back, but only on rare occasions to celebrate something... word on the street is Rodizio is opening somewhere in the east valley and with their cheaper prices they'll certainly compete in this underrated foodie arena.
