| - Where do I start? They had my reservation screwed up when I got there. A battle to get a key. Changed reservation to my name from my wifes name. They couldnt figure it out. So after 15 minutes of retardedness I get a room. I attempt to drive into garage for which Im told will be $12 a day? What? Do they think this is a major city? Its Madison WI??!! Oh thats right, Im near the capitol of WI! So its entitlement from their customer. I pull into the garage entrance and swipe my card repeatedly. Nothing happens for several min. I call the front desk , they are slow to respond. I tell them Im a hotel customer and cant access the parking garage gate. They open gate & I go in. Go to my room & discover 1 king bed & a pullout bed. Im w/ a group from a hockey tournament. I ask about a change. He says they are full. (My back is'nt in the greatest shape and dont want to ask my high school age son whose 6'1 to sleep on the pullout bed cause he needs his sleep. Isnt that why we're here? For his tournament?) So the guy at the desk claims someone else made the reservation but cant come up w/ the name. Ok thats sux. Lamely , he says Ill put you on a wait list. I know there isnt a snowballs chance in hell they will call me!! Yeah sure I say. ( whatever!!) Move on. Got sons first game coming up so we head to car for dinner followed by the game. And again I cant get out of garage. I swipe repeatedly but nothing happens. Again I call & they say what seems to be the problem? I tell them and they say it should be working. I go thru the story of Im a customer and should be on my bill blah blah blah. Finally the gate goes up and I leave.Go to dinner and the game and coming back again I cant seem to get in garage again. I push button and tell them the story for 3rd time and they tell me " whats the problem?" I say Im not getting my Godd*** 12 bucks worth of parking today out of your garage!! When is this gonna get better??!! The gate lifts, I go to desk, now someone else is there and long story short, she says no one ever put the garage on ur reservation!' Good god!! I went thru the gate about 4-5 times and they couldnt fix?! She goes to computer and fixes it. Never had a problem the rest of weekend. Really motivated staff, willing help me, huh??
Room was ok. They had signs all over the place about 24/7 grill?! Several times I was down there the chairs were up for cleaning and left there, making you think kitchen was closed. I was told that the grill could only do basic items maybe a sandwich or eggs. ( what if I wanted a dinner). The morning breakfast was kinda basic for a hyatt. Scrambled eggs, toast oatmeal, fruit cold cereal. The signs said something about french toast or insinuated about biscuits and gravy but saw none of that nor really much in the way of hot items. Disappointing to be sure! But I never felt that the staff was very connected to the customers whatsoever. The workout room looked outdated, pool wasnt very clean either. We also used the shuttle once to go out and come back and that was ok.
Not worth the price I paid, which actually was a reduced group rate. Id look elsewhere. But, I guess its all about location, location, location! Huh?
