We went on 7/14/2009, late morning. There were no other visitors. According to the rangers, it was because it was out of season, too hot. So, we had the place to ourselves. It was a nice 1/2 mile, 350 ft elevation gain hike up to the ruins. Because there was a colony of africanized bees in the ruins we couldn't actually enter the ruins. Nonetheless, the walk up to the ruins is quite pleasant. And the rangers are very helpful and engaging. This Monument is a relatively undiscovered gem. Highly recommended.
