Anyone that is considering bringing your car to the service department at Earnhardt Cadillac better think twice.. I own a 08 CTS unfortunately the engine seized.. I replaced the engine in it after everything was said and done out the door cost me 9k...Last week Mario ( service advisor) called me to let me know that the vehicle is ready to be picked up. At the end of the conversation Mario informs me that I have a bad starter and it needs to be replaced..you would think after spending that much money they would just throw one in and call it a day..Well they didn't want to work with me and told me a new starter out the door is going to cost $600..I felt like they were just trying to nickel and dime me so I picked the car up paid 9k to find that my car barely starts..not a good feeling after spending that amount of money.
So, I leave to take the car to my father in laws shop to install a new starter as I'm driving there I noticed my car is pulling to the right..so to make a long story short I drove down to Earnhardt Cadillacs service department in Scottsdale this morning 10-9-17 and brought this to the Service mangers attention (Pete). Now if any of you know cars you will know that in order to replace an engine in my car requires to drop the front suspension and after finishing the job requires an alignment on the vehicle...Pete brought me in his office looked on his computer and scheduled me an appointment at noon the next day to get it fixed and sent me on my way..About an hour later Pete calls me and tells me that he spoke to the technicians and they never did an alignment on my vehicle because my tires were to bad,but they had no problem charging me for it..So I told him I put new tires on my car let's keep the appointment for noon and we can get this taken care of. Pete tells me it's going to cost me $136.00 to do the alignment..I told him I already paid for that way are you charging me twice..Pete told me that an alignment IS NOT required when installing the engine and basically made up some story so they didn't have to fix it for free... I told Pete that isn't what Mario (service advisor) said.. He said that the car has to have an alignment after the installation and that they already did the work..Pete says since that was the conversation between you and Mario I'm going to have to divert this conversation back to Mario. If Mario tells me he said it requires an alignment then I will take care of this. And I said what if he doesn't say that..Pete says then it's going to cost you $136...I was so frustrated after spending that much money to be treated like this I raised my voice and said this is unacceptable. Pete said this conversation is over and hung up on me.
I can't believe that they treat people this way after spending that kind of money. I will never buy a car from them again or will I ever refer anyone to buy a car from them after my experience..it's funny cause they are super nice to you in the sales department..I'm sorry Pete but you are very rude and your customer service is out the window, and Cadillac I would really reconsider who you have as your manger to represent your establishment. I've been in customer service and sales since 07 and in that time have realized that a happy customer is a returning customer..I wish I could say I left happy but Cadillac you really dropped the ball on this one.. oh to add to this review I called Arrowhead Cadillac and spoke to a service advisor and they said an alignment IS REQUIRED after installation of the engine on my vehicle. I can't believe they are giving me the run around instead of just taking care of me after spending 9 THOUSAND DOLLARS.
