  • 20Aug2015 I don't typically update reviews, especially multiple times. But vehicles are a huge purchase compared to a lunchtime donair. Was convinced to let them do the bodywork by Bryan Swanson. He gave me a new truck to drive while mine was fixed. Two days later I had my truck back! I was surprised after my last ordeal. It looks like new, can't tell it was painted and I have a great eye for detail. I highly recommend Bryan Swanson and Jim Scott at Cam Clark. Two employees who care, when many do not. Update to 30July2015 Took my '13 F150into the body shop to have bottom of the doors looked at due to corrosion. Mike Jensen took some pictures, and sent me on my way. Never heard back the next day like promised. I emailed Mike just over a week later, Ford approved the warranty claim. He said he would contact me to book a date to repair. Three weeks later I stop in after an oil change. Oh right, I still exist! Remember me! I book it in for a month later. They don't have anything else on their calendar and say it will take 3 or 4 days to fix. I book Monday morning to Thursday end of day(I want it back for the long weekend to tow a boat) Dropped off and pick up a rental car(ugh, a Fusion). Thursday noon I stop in to see if its sitting outside repaired yet. Well, its outside. No door handles, no paint repair done. Say it won't be done until mid next week. Talk to the salesperson I dealt with when bought new(Jim Scott who is awesome). I tell him I want it back and to have them put it back together. He talks to body shop and they say they can have done by end of day. Im particular and want the paint fixed so it doesn't happen again, not just sprayed over, so they put it back together for me in 45 min. Now I sit at home with a truck with paint damage, and Im still annoyed with the service I got. Do it right, and on time. Thats all I ask. Cant get that at Cam Clark Ford BodyShop. Previous review from 26Feb2015: My Quicklane Adventure (by Jeff C) It starts when you pull into the parking lot of the new Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie. Where to park? I have this expensive new truck that I want to get an oil change done on, I can choose between stalls that are designed for Smart cars(but I cant even find a stall) or I can park in the middle of the bays where the signs say you are not supposed to park. Ill choose an out of the way spot and take the walk so its not in the way and I dont have someone scratch my ride. I wander into the Quicklane area, wait a minute for an Advisor to free up. Sweet, I can actually get this done while I wait! I guess showing up at 0645 has its benefits. The Advisor wants to help me, but the archaic computer he uses freezes. He said this is common, he'll reboot and I get shuffled to another Advisor. Info inputted and Im off to find a coffee and read my book. I catch a glimpse of my truck being moved in shortly thereafter. I watch as three employees(one driver, 2 spotters) do the "Austin Powers" manipulation to get it in the bay door without hitting a poorly parked vehicle waiting for service(damn I should have just parked like an asshole, everyone else has) or the bay door. An hour and a half passes and my phone rings, its done and I can continue my day shortly. They are good enough to phone me as I wandered to the showroom to read; and the door barely closes in Quicklane and its cold inside, and full of people. I review the bill and of course the Tech added 3.99 for windshield washer fluid even though I filled it yesterday. That Motorcraft stuff must be made of gold for the few ounces they added and billed me for. Back to the computer the Advisor goes to subtract the 3.99, but this takes five minutes as they cant just delete the line, I watch intently as she is told to hit F3 than Shift and F8 followed by a long special algorithm to make a minor adjustment. I forgot the F-buttons even existed on computers built in this decade as my Macbook doesnt have them. The changes are made, I pay, and am out the door. I walk to my truck(they actually found a stall, must be a miracle!), making sure I walk all the way around to check for scratches, no marks to be seen. Just a fender that someone with a greasy hand decided to touch, than fondle like a little boy in Michael Jacksons house. I open the door to get in and am glad they put a plastic seat cover and floor mat in, but I paid for upgrade to leather, so I remove the plastic and find the nearest garbage can in the building. Im off to enjoy my Friday! A quick stop at the carwash to degrease my fender and Im ready to hit the open road! Thanks Quicklane!
