Stayed here while in Charlotte for the St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was able to check-in at noon. I certainly wasn't expecting it but it made the rest of the day much easier. The front desk agents were extremely friendly and welcoming.
The room itself is spacious and had a nice design. I don't think the bathroom got the same update though. It still felt a bit dated and had a 6' tall shower head which isn't great for this 6'4" guy.
Two issues: When opening the door, the deadbolt would extend but not retract. I noticed this after having been in the room for 20 minutes and then seeing that the door didn't shut behind me when I entered the room.
Secondly, my smoke detector started chirping at 6:20am (the morning of the time change so it felt like 5:20am). The chirp would go off every 30 seconds. The night auditor came up quickly and just removed the detector completely. He wasn't especially friendly and didn't apologize for any inconvenience.
Overall, I would stay here again. It was a nice walk to uptown Charlotte and convenient to the interstate and some restaurants.
