I loved going to the Yama near Maryland when I was going to UNLV! So I was ecstatic that they opened a location in Chinatown!
First off the space, so much room! Wide sushi bar, and plenty of tables. Several sushi chefs, and plenty of staff who check up on you, I think that's wonderful!
Sushi is tasty, and comes out fast. They have all the rolls they had before at the other location. Appetizers/sides are a miss for me here. Chicken skewers are hard to chew and dry, I don't recommend it at all.
The hamachi kama and salmon kama was disappointing, both were incredibly small and dry.
Seafood salad has shrunk considerably.
I would love to see Yama improve this.
I say save your stomach room, and just go for the nigiri and rolls. Do try thier baked rolls, its amazing in the mouth!!
