Just got back from a two night stay in a king suite. We didn't have a pool suite, so our balcony looked onto the parking lot. Overall, The Clarendon Hotel is a decent option in the area, but by no means a 4 star hotel. It is however a revamped motel that's decorated excessively to look trendy.
PROS
- Spacious room w/ upgraded toiletries
- Onsite pool, gym, restaurant, rooftop bar and free bike rental
- Free breakfast at Cafe Tranquilo
- Pet friendly (and no fee!)
- Complimentary wine hour daily 5-6 pm
CONS
- No central air! All rooms have overhead AC units, so beware if the temps are 100+
- Gym felt really dirty. There was only one treadmill. All equipment was old and dingy
- Daily $20 resort fee to cover wifi (which is spotty) and covered parking. Really?!
- Parking can be limited during peak times
- Location. There's nothing worth walking to nearby, but you're close enough to downtown if that's where you need to be
