  • After some bad experiences at another local vet, we went here on a recommendation for our two cats, Ron and Carlos. Ron is fat - he likes to eat as much as I do - and the awful old biddy at the other location would always ridicule us for overfeeding him. We once put him on a diet, cutting his food intake by over 20% and replacing one meal a day with wet food, and he gained 2 pounds. The poor fatass was miserable, and it broke our hearts. But the ol' coot was relentless. "You're overdoing it... he's morbidly obese... a field mouse has 40 calories. I'm missing my crossword puzzles." Ron weighs 18 pounds. He can jump over a baby gate and keep up with our 10 pound Carlos just fine. He's big boned, so what? Anyway, we love the whole staff at Rainbow. They love Ron and all of his ampleness, and they love Carlos, too. They've gone above and beyond giving us all kinds of time and money saving (and vet visit saving, I might add) advice for our new pup, Coltrane, a beagle/something mix. They're just wonderful people, and they quite obviously love what they do. In return, we love them back.
