  • It is hard not to like this impeccable, owner occupied little BBQ joint in south Charlotte. The Q itself is excellently smoked and served sauce-free allowing you the freedom to add your own at your table - whether it be the vinegary eastern NC or the tomato-based western NC variety. Both are made in-house and are superb. Meat choices include pulled pork and chicken, beef brisket, pork ribs, smoked turkey and sausage. Never been disappointed with any. Just as special are the choices of house-made sides including collards, mac n cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, pasta salad, jalapeno deviled eggs, side salads, fries and, of course, pork n beans. Last, but not least, are the addictive dessert-like hush puppies included with all meals. Pricewise everything is very affordable. You very conveniently order, pay and receive at counter and fill your own fountain drinks. I have been a regular for 10 years. The owner Dave is passionate about his restaurant and is behind the counter most of the time (and the consistent high quality of the food and cleanliness of the facility reflect it). Definitely check this place out!
