Being a distance runner and used to running by myself outside, you will rarely find me in a gym. I moved to Henderson recently and my significant other brought me as a guest to his gym a few times.
The first hurdle was getting me signed in as a guest. My significant other tried to add me to his membership and they wanted to charge double what he was paying without all of the same benefits he had. The management gave him the run a round and did not try to accommodate us at all.
The gym itself is a whole other, pardon my expression, "shit show." Granted there are people here legitimately trying to work out, but the rest are sitting on machines using their cell phones or socializing. This place is jam packed enough, but having to wait 15 minutes for a machine because someone needs to check their Instagram between each set: Ridiculous!
The lack of gym etiquette does not end there. I've had other gym members and gym staff take weights from my machine while I was using it. My last straw was the lack of safety. The last time I was here I saw someone drop a 45 pound plate that bounced and almost hit someone's feet and a rouge 45 pound plate rolling down the aisle.
I'm currently taking my significant other into canceling his membership. Take my warning and find a different gym.
