  • This review is way overdue but nonetheless still valid. About a year and a half ago our big, goofball Mack had a strange bump that appeared on his back. We "research" some vets via Yelp and decided to bring him in to Phoenix Mountain to get it checked out. Dr. K advised us that it would be best to do a biopsy & unfortunately he ended up having 3 mast cell tumors. We chose to do surgery which Dr. K performed. He was the biggest blessing we could have asked for during this- calling to check up on Mack after surgery for a week (or maybe even 2!) following. He recovered well but it was just a matter of time, 5 months exactly, for the cancer to return and spread to his bloodstream. It came on fast and we knew it was his time. My husband and I had never dealt with this before so we were sad, scared, everything. We can't thank Dr. K and his entire staff for helping us through such an awful life experience. We love Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital!
