  • When we're visiting family in the South, we eat at Doan's on the way back to Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Service is mixed, from very friendly to nonchalant, but the food is delicious. Our go-to order for my family: -Rocket Shrimp appetizer: crunchy and flavorful with a yummy dip. My 3-yo ate most of them. -Broken rice w/ grilled chicken: a big hit with the kids. Juicy chicken and perfectly cooked rice. -House Special Pho: the whole works with the BOMB broth. Seriously, I could eat this every damn day. Their Thai iced tea and fresh squeezed OJ were yummy as well. I would most definitely check out Doan's if you're in the area.
