The whole Lit operation is legit third-wave coffee done right. They aren't big on ambiance and the music they pipe into their space is terrible satellite radio for some odd reason, which makes it hard to stick around, but all of that is trumped by the team of expert baristas that run the joint and the top-shelf quality of the coffee. Unfortunately, their supplier, Stumptown, was recently purchased by a big corporation, so Lit quickly jumped ship instead of risking a decline in quality. But they've replaced my beloved Stumptown with their own brand-new coffee, Pig Iron, which is roasted up by the 401 in Etobicoke. It is seriously impressive coffee! It's not quite as sophisticated and complex as the best Stumptown, but it's beautifully balanced and subtle. I honestly will not miss Stumptown at all as long as they keep this up. Genius!
