  • I wish I had something newly discovered to share with you with this local gem...but Marché Bacchus has been a local's favorite for French and Mediterranean cuisine for many many years. When you walk in, you will see cases and cases of wine presented orderly on shelves that beg you to wander...beautifully organized, and generally rated to help guide your decision. If you find something pleasing to have with your dinner, they will open it for you without a corkage fee...or bag it for you on the way out if you wish. I cannot claim to be a wine expert, but I do regularly enjoy wine with my meal, and the selection at Marché Bacchus is quite exquisite. There are a few seats inside but, most patrons opt to watch the swans and ducks go by on Lake Jacqueline as they sit on the patio. Outside, there are multiple tiers, with ample fire places or heaters if the weather is cold. Not all the tables have a fireplace though, so make a reservations or ask nicely. When the weather is beautiful, some of the seats open directly to the lake for added ambiance. I've been dining here for over 3 years now. Marche Bacchus participates in Restaurant Week, so be sure to check it out. Our most recent visit took place as a celebration for our family. The evening was ideal...but if you have teenagers, especially girls, you know how long it can take them to get out of the house...so we were late to our reservation. Fortunately, they called to confirm as we were on our way...I love that they checked before making any assumption. They were kind and patient with our orders and service...by the end of our main course, it was getting close to their closing time, but the service was great, and we didn't feel rushed at all. We ordered -Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad -Seared Scallops -Halibut special of the day -Bistro Chicken -Roasted Scottish Salmon They will bring a basket of warm bread with some amazing butter...whipped French butter that is! All of our orders came out together and were cooked perfectly. They were delicious! They have a vegan menu if you prefer...as well as Live Music some evenings. The competition got hotter when Americana opened a couple doors down, but they are both great choices for a night out IMHO. -2018 review #7-
