When the guy showed up he seemed okay. I wanted a water line run from to my refrigerator. It took him about an hour to figure out how he was going to do it, and then quoted me $1,400. I said I'll pass....
He then did their complementary checkup. He found a leaky drain in my bathroom and quoted me $200 to fix it. I looked and the pop-up assembly was just a little loose. It took me 30 seconds with a wrench to fix it.
His next fix was that I needed to swap my water pressure reducing valve. I'll give him some credit for finding this because my current one was broken.... His quote to fix it: $500. I found the same valve at home depot for $35 and it took me less than 10 minutes to swap it out.
When all was said and done he did nothing, but I still had to pay a $50 service charge. They very well may do good work, I wouldn't know. Had he not tried to sell me on several things I don't need, I might consider calling them next time I actually do need something.
