  • Wow! I looked up this store here on Yelp! because I wanted to know if anyone else knew of the problem that my girlfriend and I experienced, and it turns out the one review on here already is the same problem! I feel you Hugo! We came in shopping for shoes and ran into the SAME problem... the store owner was standing right over/next to us the whole time, and was very rude. We found some shoes we liked and looked on the bottom of the shoe to reveal two prices, one for 190$ and one for 140$. They weren't on top of each other as I'd expect but on opposite sides of the bottom of the shoe. My girlfriend asked which price they were.... he said in a very cold, condescending voice "The more expensive one..." and I said "So the cheaper one?" and he said "Of course..." and started saying something about how it's obvious. Yes, it's PROBABLE but we didn't want any confusion so we asked. Usually the cheaper price is instead of or over the more expensive one when something is on sale, so we didn't know if this was a mistake or what, so we just asked. Apparently asking was too big a deal. So then two days later we walked around looking for a coat for my girlfriend. I'd happened to see a nice coat in the window-front and so we went into this same store, but neither of us realized it was the same store until we saw HIM again. Immediately we felt uncomfortable but was pleasant instead of being jerks. I was looking at one jacket in particular and he said "You're looking to buy a coat?" (I WANTED to say "No, I'm looking to buy golf clubs......" but I tried to be polite). I said yes and then he asked my girlfriend "Are you looking for pants?" She said yes and asked a question about the sizes. His strong Canadian accent was hard for my girlfriend to understand, as she is French, and so she politely asked him to repeat it. He then repeated it VERY SLOWLY like if you joke about someone being handicapped.... very unnecessary and unprofessional. She was trying hard to continue to be polite but he kept be very condescending and unusually rude. She simply said that talking nice to people in his store would make for more sales and repeat customers. He then said "I have a wife and I am nice to her - that's enough." With that we promptly left because that was too much for us to bare. I don't know how anyone actually shops there. I'm surprised he still has a business. As Hugo said in his review, there are indeed many other shoes and other clothing stores down the street and on the surrounding streets that have the same stuff, at the same or better prices and the people that work there are actually FRIENDLY and WANT you to buy things.... DO NOT SHOP THERE!
