  • For Shannon's birthday this weekend, we secured a penthouse on the 60th floor. I have to admit that I felt like a pimp having to insert my key in the elevator to get the 60 button to light up. The room came with tons of WOW! - THE VIEW. sick. completely sick. I couldn't stop going out to the balcony just to sit down and take it all in. - THE BUTLER SERVICE. Just pick up the phone and the butlers get you what you need. They were amazing and made our stay there completely memorable. The only setback was that during the evening hours, there was high demand for the butlers so the response time was often delayed, but it wasn't like anyone was dying. LOL. - COOL. The Cosmo is just all-around COOL. The place's got swag. I enjoyed walking around the casino and the shops and just being in the environment. - PARTY. What a crazy pimp pad to have a birthday party. It was an intimate setting in a penthouse with an incredible view. Nuff Said. There were a few drawbacks. Although they were minor, they are worth mentioning. - We catered some food that was blocked by the bell desk and they had to throw the food away. This was crazy. When you pay that much for the penthouse, who cares if you bring food to your room. We ended up getting pizza from the Cosmo shops and bringing up to the room, which was tasty, but totally inconvenient. - The bathrooms are 100% black, so it was a challenge to shave with so little light. I can't imagine what it would be like for women to find enough light to apply their makeup. - The kitchen isn't really a kitchen. It only has a tiny sink and a tiny refrigerator. BOOO! - The technology in the room is crazy cool ... when it works. Sometimes the curtains opened, sometimes they didn't. The tablets which controlled almost everything where hard to get used to and were slow to respond. The front TV surround speaker didn't work, so we couldn't hear voices when we tried to watch DVDs. In addition, we secured a cabana for one afternoon which was fun. It is worth noting that we brought our 3 & 5 year old boys with us for one day. They loved the room and the pool. Our experience at Cosmo was an incredibly great experience and the drawbacks were minor. The most important part is that all of our guests had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.
