On our latest visit to Mesa, AZ we made a wonderful discovery - Pars Persian Cuisine. We have eaten at many Persian restaurants in California and now Arizona for about 15 years. Both the food and the service were excellent! I had the lamb shank with baghali polo and my husband had the sultani kabob. The roasted tomato was perfectly done with no burnt black spots. The homemade pita bread with the piaz (onion) and sabzi (basil) were fantastic. I also ordered khashk-e-bademjan (the roasted eggplant) appetizer. We will definitely be back in February, when we stay in Gold Canyon for the Arizona Renaissance Faire. It will be worth the drive. This is a restaurant not to be missed!
