Another restaurant you must go to is Lotus of Siam for some delicious Thai when in Vegas. Although not my most favorite Thai restaurant of all time, certainly right up there with the best.
Service could be better, but the dining room is huge, actually there are several and the staff must be overwhelmed. The ambiance could be better, quite honestly the inside is completely unimpressive. The food is nothing short of amazing and that is why you must come here.
The garlic prawns are memorable and delicious - cooked to perfection. Yes, they even fry up the prawn shells which seems weird, but they are edible and tasty the way they are prepared.
We also shared the chicken satay which was very good but no the highlight here.
The soft shell crab salad was yummy and the banana lumpia delicious (though missing ice cream).
Prices were reasonable, and we had very little wait, but the people who came shortly after weren't so lucky. My best recommendation is that if you do not have reservations, get there within 10 minutes of opening or be prepared to wait, and wait.
