I am writing this from the bus.....we chartered two busses for a 3 day trip to Utah with high school students.
PROS:
None
CONS:
1. The drivers were over 45 minutes late in arriving at the school to pick us up. We were told that the drivers had to drop off other riders on the Strip....turns out the other riders were our bus driver's relatives. Wonder if they had to pay the same rate we did.
2. The driver of the bus I'm currently riding in....Milton... Is rude and should probably not be assigned to drive any routes with people under the age of 75. He got very upset if the kids were talking above a whisper, if they were laughing, etc. He yelled at several students because they were not sitting face forward. I understand they shouldn't be in the aisle or putting their feet on the seats, but turned sideways in their seats??!! Come on!!! (Seriously.... He just yelled at a girl because she was laughing).
3. He was not pleasant or friendly and it made the 6 hour round trip ride very uncomfortable for everyone.
I realize people think teens are rude and disrespectful, but the students on the bus were very well behaved and respectful (even after being repeatedly yelled at).
I will be posting to other teachers in my building as well as throughout the school district to STAY AWAY from this company. It is clear this company and its drivers do not like students so I will not ask my students to pay a company that treats them so rudely and with such disrespect.
