Charlotte is full of unique restaurants catering to every appetite, but this place is a solid fastball down the middle - a diner that serves up big plates at a good price.
While I can't say I would order the fish and eggs again, the two large filets did provide a rarely seen alternative to steak. The hashbrowns had a nicely browned crunchy exterior and other diners in my group were filled up by their omelettes. Comfortable booths, friendly service, and plenty of natural light. The picture was complete with a businessman reading a newspaper while drinking coffee.
I liked the biscuits and was happy to be quickly seated on a Sunday morning when brunch places around town would be packed full. Nice work.
