Trax Farms is a wonderful place to take the family and experience more of the farm atmosphere while still having the convenience of things typically found in a grocery store. In October, hit up Trax Farms for the pumpkin patch. It's truly an experience with a hay ride, pick your own pumpkin, bouncy houses, a kiddie train and petting zoo. Rumor has it that they had a baby zebra there this year. Great experience for the family. Grab lunch and a hot chocolate or apple cider at the small cafe. Browse the large selection of holiday decorations and cute gifts. Then head into the grocery section (which is pretty much the size of most grocery stores) to pick up lots of fresh produce, breads/cakes and cookies from the bakery and some speciality items that are local. They even have a local winery that sells wine. (free tastings) Another popular time is the Christmas season because of the large selection of Christmas items. Throughout the year Trax farms also has interesting events like the very popular breakfast (or lunch) with Santa. Overall, a family friendly alternative to the chain grocery stores with a focus on offering fresh/local items.
