  • Worst service ever. Can't believe this is a Four Seasons Hotel. I've been to Four Seasons around the world and this Toronto version should be ashamed to call themselves a high end hotel with this level of service! My wife and I and another couple decided to drop by for after-dinner drinks, celebrating a birthday. We arrived just before midnight knowing the bar closes at 1 am on a weeknight. The first thing reception said to us was "last call is in 5 minutes". No greeting and they were not polite letting us know about the last call. It felt like they were hoping we just leave. We did not feel welcomed at all. We decided to stay anyways. Our server came to our table and we immediately asked him to bring us 4 shots first while we look at the menu. Instead, he was very rude and told us we had to order everything at once. We felt we were being rushed even though we still had 5 minutes until last call. So we looked at the menu and ordered all our drinks at once. We then quickly learned the DJ finished at midnight and we expected some other music would play over the house speakers but nothing. Instead, the lights came on as if management was telling everyone to leave. We just sat down, the bar does not close for another hour and we already felt we could not enjoy the bar at all. When the server brought our drinks he immediately handed us the bill and gave no explanation - just "here is your bill, sir". We did not even have one sip and the bill came already. Again we felt rushed. We were surprised at this and thought we could take our time to settle the bill but twice the server came and asked if the bill was ready. The third time we asked if we had to settle the bill now and he said "yes". Again no explanation. We could not think of any reason why the server wanted to rush us other than wanting to go home. This is very unprofessional and this kind of attitude did not warrant a good tip. So we tipped half of what is standard, which we felt was deserving for 5 minutes of service and a very rude attitude. The server gave us a look of discontent and did not thank us for our patronage. As we suspected, the server was nowhere to be found afterwards and likely went home. But our experience with poor service did not end right there. At about 12:20pm we were told we had 10 minutes to finish our drinks or they would take our glasses away, even though the bar closes at 1am! We were not advised that we only had half an hour to enjoy our drinks. Now we were regretting that we left any tip at all. So we quickly finished our drinks and left very unhappy. How can this place be a Four Seasons Hotel?! Think about the location and the clientele you are serving and the brand this hotel is supposed to represent. It's obvious from other reviews that service is a problem here and management seems to not care about fixing these problems.
