  • Akai Sushi is a small, quiet sushi restaurant that definitely exceeded my expectations! Our group of 4 arrived at 7pm on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated right away. We ordered 2 love boats, which each included 16 pieces of Sashimi, 12 pieces of sushi, and 2 fusion rolls (the green dragon roll and the blazing salmon roll). It also included a miso soup and a salad to start. The fish was incredibly fresh and the rolls were delicious. My personal favourite was the blazing salmon roll, which was your typical spicy salmon roll, but topped with torched salmon. I've never had anything like it and I am definitely a fan. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our food arrived quickly. Since it wasn't too busy, they allowed us to stay and talk even after we had finished our food, without rushing us to pay or leave. The price was pretty reasonable too - $54 per love boat. I will definitely be returning for more!
