| - I have been coming to Bookman's Mesa since I first moved to Arizona in 1995. I brought in to them lots of books to get credit for. I recently purchased with my credit, two titles that are hard to find, but they both just came in just when I needed them.
I also used my credit recently for rubber stamps which I use to give my friend as gifts, cos she makes her own cards. And I added some to my own collection. Bookman's has about 6-7 baskets of rubber stamps t hat I spent about 1.5 hours looking through!
In the old days, when I was so terribly poor and unemployed, I made extensive and ongoing use of Bookman's free search and save service, where I submitted requests for the latest NYTimes Best selling titles, which I purchased with my credit, then I sold the books on Amazon to make money to live on. But Bookman's discontinued this service years ago. I sure miss it.
I also like it that I could listen to the music CDs before I buy them, and they have comfortable chairs in which to sit, and do that.
I have purchased used items, such as large print keyboard, from their electronics section too.
The staff members are always so nice and helpful, you can tell they really love working there. I am a former public librarian (that is why I was so poor and jobless, always getting laid off from budget cuts, and poorly paid in the first place), so Bookman's is like a candy store.
I like it that I never really use cash here, cos I was always so cash poor. Bookman's really helped me survive in my "poor and destitute days", which I am happy to report are over with forever.
