  • Our 2.5 year-old son has been attending Creative Kids 2 or 3 days a week for almost a year. He really loves it there and so do we! They have a 6:30am - 6:30 drop-off/pick-up allowance (so I can even get grocery shopping done before or after work without him), friendly staff, a huge sand pit room his class gets to play in twice a week, a few different playgrounds they utilize to break the monotony, a slide into the building which all students seem to enjoy, and very colorful decor - more so than the other daycares we toured. I love when he brings home all of the art he's been creating. They certainly keep the kiddos busy. Each parent has a unique code to get in the building and signs their child in/out via fingerprint technology. There are video monitors in the foyer so parents can spy on their kids' activities but one cannot watch from home as some other daycares offer. Of his two teachers' positions, each one has turned over once. Luckily, we have liked them all. I believe teachers can make or break both the child and the parents' experience. He's not even three years-old but he can name 45 of the United States, count to 50, name all of the main colors and shapes, problem solve, sing the words to 30+ songs, share, color, play well with others, etc. so they must be doing something right. We're still working on the potty training but his teachers' encouragement while at Creative Kids is definitely helping. My only complaint would be the stench of the two year-old room when I pick him up around 6pm sometimes. It's as if all of the dirty diapers from the day have not been taken out to the trash yet. They could definitely do a better job of taking the diapers to the dump a few times a day to alleviate the smell. Other than that, we have really like the daycare and plan on keeping him there until kindergarten.
