  • I previously had a bad experience at Ride Now on Rancho but these guys simply have the best prices on tires in Vegas. Both my bike (Nomad 1700) and my son's bike (C50 Boulevard) needed new tires. My bike had a set of Shinko 777's that were junk new and wore out quickly (thankfully). I wanted the Bridgestone Excedra Max that seems to work well on my Nomad. My son's bike was getting the tried and true Dunlop D404's that wear like iron. I called in and got a quote, then told the Ride Now employee that I previously had a bad experience with Rancho. He assured me that I'd be happy with the tire balance and that they use small plastic beads inserted into the actual tire carcass, instead of weights. I read up on the beads and almost universally riders seem to like them. The tire stays balanced for life and I could not find any negative opinions of beads vs. weights. So, I took my bike in first on a Saturday. The tires only took about an hour to change but the service advisor also found an open recall that they offered to take care of. That took another two hours to complete, longer than they told me. The service guy was apologetic and they were cool to talk to, but that's two hours I could have been riding! Props to them for taking the time to double check for open recalls. My son's bike went in a few days later. I dropped his off before work and picked it up that night. Both bikes have perfectly balanced tires, at least up the old-man speeds I ride. The only other complaint I have - and it's a minor one - is that there is really no customer waiting area for the service department. I imagine most guys (and girls) just drop off their stuff for service and don't wait around. But I decided to wait and there are just a couple tables in the showroom really meant for the sales people. I felt like I was in the way up there, although the sales staff were also friendly. So, I wish I could take off just 1/2 star for the wait and lack of a waiting area. Otherwise, much better experience than the Rancho location. I'll be back in a year or two for another set of tires - hopefully on a Harley Ultra Limited next time!
