My first experience with Mr. Rooter was relatively positive. They came at the appointed time and fixed the problem. Sent the bill within two weeks and I paid for it. Unfortunately the same problem occurred in few days after I paid the bill(5 days to be exact).
Second time I received a "different" diagnosis of the problem. I agreed to the estimate but did not receive a bill. Two month later I receive a call from Katie saying that the bill they tried to mail me had been returned so I provided her my name, address and email. Another month goes by and they send my bill to collection agency for nonpayment ( yes for a bill that I never received). I called and spoke to their CFO who found the second bill and realized that it was not addressed to the right person. She sent me the bill electronically and I sent out a check the same day. Of course I'm still getting harassed with daily phone calls from the collection agency until Mr. Rooter receives my check for a bill they messed up on.
Will I ever call Mr. Rooter again? Probably not. Cost me $249, two visits, harassment from the collection agency and definitely no guarantee on workmanship and getting things done right the first time. Exceptional customer service and treating customers with respect? Yes that's what I dream about as the collection agency is grilling me on when exactly did I send my check and when my check will clear. To say the least it's been an unpleasant experience!
