Slinky Music has both the music snob and music noob in mind. If you're looking to pick up some audio equipment, turntables or records, SM has got you covered.
There's a good selection of both used and new vinyl-- indie, rock, techno, electronica, soul and much more. I'm a fan of the cheapie $1/ clearance bin-- there are definitely gems to be had there so make sure you leaf through it before you leave. New vinyl at SM tends to be on the slightly more expensive side, but many, if not all new re-releases and re-pressings include an MP3 version of that album available for download. While there were some records I found that had me doubting myself as music enthusiast, there are some decent finds that I've been looking for for awhile.
I really dug that one of their features on the in-store listening station was a cumbia compilation (in both CD and LP formats). A music-phile friend of mine just put me on some 60s cumbia bands from Peru so I'm glad to see that Slinky Music never misses a beat.
