I'm not sure why I don't come here more often (aside from input from my waist). Zio has that charm of an old school Italian restaurant in a big city basement and high quality food with great service.
Started with the toasted ravioli which were crispy and savory, with a marinara that tasted homemade. For the main course, had the grilled pizza special, spicy chicken sausage with mushrooms. The flavor was awesome and the size + having it square cut allowed for a tasty cold breakfast the next day.
Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive without hovering. Only negative was the outside seating was closed for a "private party," but the inside was quaint and cozy enough to make up for it.
That's amore!
